About Me

Who am I? I think in many ways that is a question I continue to ask myself everyday. I am a follower of Christ, I am still very much an apprentice in this endeavor.  I am a mother with four amazing children. I am a wife, married to a man who is in many ways my exact opposite. That is a good thing most of the time. I am a professor. I teach English literature and composition at two different colleges right now. I am also a person still trying to figure out who I am in many respects. I love to write, read, take pictures and just “be” with my family and friends.  I am a shy extrovert, I am a little addicted to stress, I love dark chocolate and Pacific Grove. I love organic food and traveling to some place new. I love my anniversary and my kids’ birthdays. I love Shakespeare and U2. I love beautiful flowers and old books. I love a challenge and hate the idea of settling in any area of my life. I am impatient and optimistic. I am a woman who is not always comfortable with the expectations put on my gender. I am a person still trying to figure out what I am going to do when I grow up. I am someone who has a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
